Gutkind is a danish based publishing house with a focus on quality fiction with an international perspective. Gutkind is owned by Bonnier and was established in 2019 but is build on a history reaching back to 1862.
My role was to develop an identity that would work both in a digital and printed context, while ensuring a distinct profile.
The concept is build on human visual languages and signals, used to encode and decode communication and meaning. The essens of these patterns are often geometric shapes.
The intention is to achieve a symbol that is clear and impactful, but at the same time abstract and timeless. Combined with a colourful palette, the design elements share a visual DNA ensuring a coherent and clear expression across all touch points. The result is a forward looking take on the publishing industry, optimized for a digital future.
